Yeah, A ritual in skin care is important,

but you can become a slave to it.

That’s where a minimalist beauty routine could come in handy.

“It’s not about compromising any level of performance, but saving an incredible amount of time and mindshare—not to mention wallet share” says April Gargiulo, founder of Vintner’s Daughter.

I would like to add one more to this.

Minimalist skincare will naturally engages you in the movement to love and protect mother earth and animals, our cohabitants of this planet.

The following "Skin Fasting" is the method you can partially introduce to your minimalistic daily skin care as well recognized Method proposed by the Japanese dermatologist

Ryuichi Utsugi in his book.

"Skin fasting" is simply stopping the use of skin care products for a certain period of time. Quite commonly, people do skin fasting for short periods, such as a one day or a weekend. The effect of this is said to improve the ability of the skin to rejuvenate using its natural healing power.

I thought it might be useful to share what I have found from my experience, here's the practical, a bit 'twisted' from the original as mine the best guideline you can apply same as mine!

The following "Skin Fasting" can be a useful guideline you can partially or entirely introduce to your minimalistic daily skin care.

"Skin fasting" is simply stopping the use of skin care products for a certain period of time.

Quite commonly, people do skin fasting for short periods, such as a one day or a week, or simply reduce layers of skincare product you apply but use oly a few key products to build a solid foundation of healthy skin.

The effect of this is said to improve the ability of the skin to rejuvenate using its natural healing power.

Here goes the useful tips to share what I found from my experience, a bit 'twisted' from the strict original regimen considering my skin type, hope you can settle your own applying the following tips!

  • Top-to-Toe Wash

I make my CP (Cold Process) Soap for over the years, this creamy feel, ultimately moisturizing soap works as nice as Top-to-Toe cleanser. As it is not healthy to take soap shower every day as known, use it only once every other day or three days. My Secret CP Soapmaking Recipe in the following page!

  • Face Cleansing

I adopt 'Coconut Oil Cleansing' as my cleansing routine. You may also search it of its multiple benefits thru internet.

It is just simple that you apply liquiefied coconut oil to your dry face and Massage over your skin.

Then rinse your face in warm water a few times, or wipe it off with the cloth. I do this process 2 to 3 times a week.

  • Toning and Moisturizing.

Honestly I'm not a big fan of skin toner as I prefer to apply moisturizer right after the shower. I also make my own Moisturizing Balm over the years, Trust me that it works, seeing that I was asked so often by my friends which skincare products I use.
